Boo!ble B: All about the most deliciously spooky event!

Updated: Oct 6

Halloween is approaching, and with it, themed events. So we decided to try our luck and combine three ingredients in our cauldron to obtain this magic formula: a Bubble Tea shop, and two initiatives that are eager to help their communities and share the ambition of making these two worlds increasingly accessible.

And so the Boo!ble B Cosplay Meeting was created, with a pinch of Bubble B's tapioca, a dose of magic, the Fairy Cosparents' top hat, a primal roar and Artjump's artistic touch!

Not sure what to expect? Want to know how to get to us? Read on!

What do you need to know?

Although the main focus of this meeting is cosplay, we've also made a point of having artists present with their respective booths, and some activities where you can get your creative juices flowing, solo or in a group!

Since Bubble B has its main store located in the heart of Torres Vedras, this will be the backdrop for our small yet astonishing event.

(Boo!)

Don't be alarmed! Find the location of the event below:

Why Torres Vedras?

This store has an out-of-this-world location!

It's less than 150 meters from the city's largest Green Park, in an area full of places for lunch and dinner for any taste and wallet (some menus may contain garlic), with privileged access to hospitals and pharmacies for any human or supernatural need, 350 and 750 meters from long-distance transport and with access to Bolt, Uber, FlixBus and Rede Expresso, so you can get to the event and home in a flash!

With the growing need to reach more corners of the country and expand the practice of cosplay to more curious people, we chose Torres Vedras as a point very close to the capital and with fast transportation to various points in the country! This area also opens up the possibility of new audiences joining in the celebration of art and cosplay, particularly in the West. We want more people like you to get involved in the magical web of cosplay... and transform themselves into their favorite beings and monsters without shame or fear!

Given that this city is known for its Carnival fervor, we thought it would be perfect to show that creativity, pranks and elaborate costumes can take to the streets outside the festive season, and to encourage the curious and the rest of us to take part and try something different for a day.

And of course, trying to give the deserved visibility to the only Bubble Tea store that tests unique and unusual flavors with the expertise and mastery of Dr. Frankenstein!

Bubble B has cocktails with mysterious flavors, bubble tea based on the frenetic and creepy Monster, and surprising flavors such as Creme Brulé, Spirulina or caramel bobas (and others, their menu is truly thrilling!), with which you can satiate yourself and recharge your batteries.

Do you know how to take this remarkable journey?

We believe that information should be made available in a way that is accessible and reliable, and for this reason we have compiled all the essential information about the direct transportation available to you. That's right, all the transport where you don't have to change once before reaching your destination or change type of transport, so you can travel comfortably!

Below you'll find the different timetables and the best transport options, so you don't get lost or scared to death during your trip.

Lisbon

If you're coming from Lisbon, there are plenty of transport options! However, we recommend FlixBus – Oriente-Aveiro – and Rede Expresso – Lisboa-Peniche! Both are trips under 5€, but we still recommend that you buy in advance to get access to amazing discounts, or join Rede Expresso Flex!

If you want to stay in the After Party mood, there's bus 700 from Barraqueiro Oeste that will be your bestie, with constant buses to save you from a possible missed bus, and at a distance of 350 meters from the event!

There's also a bus from Mira-Sintra Meleçasinstead of a haunted train - that can come to your rescue, heading for Mafra and Malveira.

Leiria and Aveiro

From the two northernmost districts comes the indispensable FlixBus! With tickets under €5, you'll be able to take a ghostly journey with a variety of timetables!

For Leiria there's also the CP train, but with several stops along the way, two haunted trains and a rather frightening price - even with the youth discount. The advantage of this last option is that you can get to Figueira da Foz and even Coimbra.

Caldas da Rainha

Torres Vedras' more artistic neighbor has regular transport at a very reasonable price - under 5€ - via the CP train.

However, for the Cinderellas at the ball, the means of transport after 8pm is the Rede Expresso, with a stopover in Lisbon, so don't let yourselves be terrified and don't lose your crystal slippers!

Mafra and Ericeira

The town, known for its amazing library, also has some difficult accesses! The most regular option (and also a little more expensive) is to get to Torres Vedras with the help of our capital, combining the Carris train and transportation from Lisbon to Torres Vedras.

However, don't run away just yet! There are direct transportation options that are much less daunting.

Mafrense has bus 221, which makes two stops in this seaside town. You can get off at the Sports Park and the Palace. But watch out for the 18 chimes, this transportation is not recurrent!

Alternatively, there is a road transshipment which replaces the section of the CP that is currently unusable due to works. This transfer has a much wider range of timetables, and you can find it in Mira-Sintra, Mafra, Malveira, Dois Portos and with a final stop in Torres Vedras, if you want to enjoy the event to the end!

Loures, Venda do Pinheiro and Malveira

These locations have a frightening transport reinforcement - in a good way!

They count on bus 702 (via Venda do Pinheiro, Malveira and Loures) from Barraqueiro Oeste, and you can board first at the Lisbon bus terminal, in Campo Grande, or you can jump on board at any time along the route.

Malveira, on the other hand, also has the road transshipment by bus and which replaces the section of the CP that is currently unusable due to works.

Lourinhã, Bombarral and Peniche

The coastal area to the north also has everything you need for a trip that's anything but horrifying!

Towards Lourinhã, we don't need a dinosaur skeleton, because we have Barraqueiro Oeste and the bus 705. There is also the alternative of Rede Expresso, which connects Lisbon (Sete Rios) to Torres Vedras, Lourinhã, and finally Peniche.

Towards Bombarral we have an alternative: CP's train to Caldas da Rainha, with stops in Outeiro da Cabeça, Bombarral, São Mamede and Óbidos.

Sobral de Monte Agraço and Vila Franca de Xira

For the neighboring wine-growers to the east, there are also a few options, but they are scarce. You can have a Good Trip (with Boa Viagem) to Vila Franca de Xira without any hassles or complications - on the bus 50 (via Sobral de Monte Agraço and Arruda dos Vinhos).

It's worth remembering that Torres Vedras is not part of the AML, so municipal transit passes are not valid transportation tickets. Here is a map showing the length of these circuits in case you want to travel to Lisbon with the intention of going to the outskirts.

We would also like to inform you that some of the transport services do not allow payment via ATM, requiring cash to buy a ticket - namely Barraqueiro Oeste and CP, when buying inside the bus or train.
