An Event Publicist has the role of assisting in cataloging and sharing information about new events. They play a very important role, as they will ensure that the whole community is aware of events and meetings in their area!

They should also take an active part in providing such information as:

 

• Existence of businesses themed around anime, manga, comics, geek culture, Japanese culture and others

 

• Existence of cosplayer-friendly businesses or establishments (e.g. bubble tea cafés, arcades, themed museums)

 

• Existence of public or historical spaces for photographic sessions

The Publicist has the key role of informing people about the existence or possibility of cosplay panels, workshops, booths and contests at events, so that they can be properly announced and shared, whenever they learn of them.
